Sales Representative / Capital Equipment Sales

A Packaging Systems is a manufacturing leader of packaging machinery. We have experienced phenomenal sales growth through market penetration, organic growth, and development of our manufacturing and fabrication teams. We specialize in providing an extremely dependable and affordable product to our end users and distributors.

A Packaging Systems is located in La Porte, Indiana, and is again preparing to locate to even larger offices and warehouse space. Our expanding operation means career opportunities within our Sales Department, and we have an immediate need for two Sales Representatives in our new offices within the next 90 days. We prefer experience in selling packaging equipment, but will train the right, motivated candidate.

Reporting to the Corporate Sales Manager, these Sales Representative positions will provide service and support to our existing valued account base as well as establishing business with new customers by providing consultative solutions to the customers needs with the latest in equipment technology.

Our customer base ranges from Food, Beverage, Chemical, Personal Care, Nutraceutical, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, and Specialty markets. The wide array of potential customers, large and customizable product line, and aggressive commission structure make this position almost limitless in earning potential! We already have an extensive database with thousands of leads. With an outstanding web presence, great machinery and a fast-growing reputation, sales leads come to us! Product knowledge, plus courteous and complete follow up with customers will allow Sales Reps to be successful.

Sales Representative Requirements include:

  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Manage new leads and cold call target markets
  • Proven Closing Ability and follow-up skills
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to work with a wide range of customers
  • Computer literate with the ability to learn new software programs as required
  • Experience with contact databases, Word, Excel, and ability to type 40+ wpm
  • Ability to learn and understand technical information related to our products offered
  • Provide in-house support during customer visits to our facility
  • Some travel to trade shows and customer sites
  • Mechanical Aptitude helpful
  • Spanish Language a plus (but not required)
  • Stable Work History
